Kyrgyz Environmental Protection Agency receives new fire fighting complexes

AKIPRESS.COM - The ceremony of handover of small multifunctional fire fighting complexes to the State Environmental Protection and Forestry Agency was held in Bishkek. Deputy Prime Minister Ravshanbek Sabirov noted an important role of these complexes in protection of forests.
Preservation of natural resources and forest ecosystems is duty of every citizen, he said.
"Despite budget deficit, tree saplings are planted in forest ranges and state nature parks. The handed over equipment will allow forest workers to conduct their work effectively, to timely locate and extinguish forest fires and to respond to poaching and other violations," Sabirov said.
Multifunctional complexes were used in response to COVID-19 pandemic and are used for disinfection of public places in urban and rural.
29 tree harvesting machines were purchased earlier with support of donors. Similar equipment was handed over to 13 forest range enterprises in 2019.
