Covid-19 situation under control, stable in Kyrgyzstan - acting President

AKIPRESS.COM - Acting President and Speaker Talant Mamytov is holding meeting of the Security Council with participation of acting Prime Minister Artem Novikov, Supreme Court Chairperson Gulbara Kalieva, Chief of President's Administration Suyunbek Kasmambetov, leaders of parliamentary faction, ministers.
Mamytov started his speech with description of COVID-19 situation in Kyrgyzstan.
The situation with COVID-19 pandemic has been taken under control and it is stable, he said.
Then he talked about the upcoming early presidential elections and the referendum set for January 10, 2021.
Central Election Commission Chair Nurjan Shaildabekova outlined main aspects of preparations for these events.
Work hours of public service centers were extended until 8.00 p.m. They work 7 days a week now to register citizens for the upcoming elections until December 31 inclusive.
The acting President instructed acting Prime Minister Artem Novikov to ensure utmost open and honest elections.
"Equal conditions should be provided for all candidates and conditions for all voters should be created," he said.
