Kyrgyz order guards detained Tajik citizens who resisted authorities trying to smuggle 4 tons of tangerines

AKIPRESS.COM - The Kyrgyz border guards detained a Mercedes-Sprinter car with Tajik license plates illegally being on the territory of Kyrgyzstan while on duty on the Khujand-Kanibadam highway.
The driver and the passenger refused to leave the car, resisted the authorities, and tried to flee to the territory of Tajikistan. The Kyrgyz border guards stopped and detained them.
The detainees were citizens of Tajikistan born in 1986 and 1990 years.
During the inspection of the vehicle, the border guards found 4 tons of tangerines without permits. The approximate value of the smuggled cargo was about 300,000 soms.
After the relevant documents were processed, the detainees and the cargo were handed over to competent authorities for further investigation.
