Despite U.S. sanctions, Iran delivered humanitarian aid to Kyrgyzstan for coronavirus fight: Ambassador

AKIPRESS.COM - Despite U.S. sanctions, Iran sent two shipments of humanitarian aid with medical supplies and equipment to Kyrgyzstan for its COVID-19 response, said Iranian Ambassador to Kyrgyzstan Saeid Kharrazi at a press conference in Bishkek January 6.
The humanitarian cargoes were to help Kyrgyz government and people, make it possible for Iran to produce and export medicines and medical equipment, as well as to open ways for cooperation between the two countries in the joint production of medicines and medical equipment, he said.
Cooperation between the two countries at international platforms and organizations last year was good and the two countries supported each other on various issues.
