Voting in early presidential elections and referendum ends at 14 polling stations abroad, still in progress at 34 polling stations

AKIPRESS.COM - Voting in the early presidential elections and the referendum has ended at 14 polling stations abroad, Central Election Commission Chair Nurjan Shaildabekova told a press conference.
Voting still continues at remaining 34 polling stations, she said. These are mainly polling stations in Russia, Europe and the United States. Voting abroad will last until 7.00 a.m. Bishkek time of January 11.
"The final voting results will be tabulated based on protocols of manual count of votes. The manual count starts immediately after transmission of voting results from the automated ballot boxes to the servers of the Central Election Commission. The results from remote parts of the country will be passed to the nearest polling station with Internet access and will be then sent to the Central Election Commission," Nurjan Shaildabekova said.
