Tajikistan develops mobile app for migrant workers

AKIPRESS.COM - The Ministry of Labor, Migration and Social Security of Tajikistan has developed the mobile application to support migrant workers in Russia.
The mobile application contains important legal information for migrants they should know before departure, during stay in Russia and when returning to Tajikistan.
The application replaces booklets, leaflets earlier developed for migrants.
Russia is the main host country for migrant workers from Tajikistan. For this reason, the application has information on Russian labor and migration legislation. The application allows to update the information when necessary.
Over 1 million citizens of Tajikistan depart for Russia to work every year, according to the Russian authorities. Tajikistan's statistics says the number of migrant workers makes around 500,000.
