Mongolia to vote in presidential election in June

AKIPRESS.COM - Parliament of Mongolia approved the date for the presidential election. According to the draft resolution, the election is scheduled for June 9, 2021, Wednesday, Montsame reports. Preparation activities for the presidential election will be launched on January 25, 2021.
There will be by-election in the 28th constituency of the eighth parliament elections in Songinokhairkhan district of Ulaanbaatar city on the same day.
MP L.Enkh-Amgalan said that about MNT 28 billion (approx. 9.8 million USD) would be needed to organize the presidential election on its own, and about MNT 1 billion will be required for the by-election in the 28th parliamentary constituency. Therefore, in order to save costs, the by-elections of the State Great Khural will be held together with the regular 2021 presidential election.
