MP raises question of distribution of money allocated by mining companies to regions

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Ainura Osmonova raised the question of distribution of money allocated by mining companies in the regions at the January 21 session of the parliament. Mining companies pay huge sums to the region. The amounts reach up to 160 million soms in Ala-Buka district. They contribute money to the Regional Development Fund, social packages, etc.
"Is this money used for its intended purpose? How is it monitored?" she asked.
The Ministry of Finance representatives said that the Ministry functions as an operator, and the money is handled by the Funds.
"We will look into the issue and submit it for consideration," they responded.
