Ex-National Security Committee chief Abdil Segizbaev interrogated

AKIPRESS.COM - Ex-National Security Committee chairman Abdil Segizbaev is being interrogation by the National Security Committee, Segizbaev's social media accounts said. A photo of the summons stating that he was invited for questioning on January 25 at 10 am was also published.
Later it became known that he was being interrogated by the Military Prosecutor's Office.
Segizbaev is suspected of corruption in land deals.
Segizbaev denies any wrongdoing and says the case is politically motivated.
Abdil Segizbayev held the role of the chief of National Security Committee from 2016 to 2018. He ran in the 2021 presidential election and won 1.46% of the votes.
