Macron confirmed France's commitment to developing ties between the European Union and the Kyrgyz Republic
The EU-Kyrgyzstan Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Deal's coming into force will serve as concrete proof of the support of the European Union and its 27 member states for Kyrgyzstan in its way to improvement of the rule of law, democracy and sustainable economic and social development.
Macron reiterated his willingness to continue to deepen bilateral cooperation with Kyrgyzstan in political, cultural and economic fields.
He pointed out the role of the French Institute for Central Asian Studies in Bishkek as a unique asset to strengthen ties in research and cooperation in the humanities and social sciences.
The French Alliance in Bishkek set up by the Kyrgyz side and financed by France is the main instrument for the promotion of the French language and culture in Kyrgyzstan, Macron noted hoping for the long-term support of the Kyrgyz authorities to its work.
