Over 23,000 natives of Uzbekistan acquired citizenship of Russia in 2020

AKIPRESS.COM - Some 656,300 foreign nationals acquired Russian citizenship in 2020. This is a record high number for the past 15 years, according to the Russian Interior Ministry.
This is for 30% more than in 2019, when 497,817 foreigners acquired Russian citizenship.
23,300 citizens of Uzbekistan or 3.5% of all foreigners were granted Russian citizenship.
63,400 citizens of Tajikistan (9.7%), 43,400 citizens of Kazakhstan (6.6%), 30,500 citizens of Armenia, 22,000 citizens of Azerbaijan, 20,000 citizens of Moldova, 12,000 citizens of Kyrgyzstan, 10,000 citizens of Belarus acquired citizenship of Russia.
Uzbekistan does not allow dual nationality.
