Uzbekistan establishes diplomatic relations with San Marino

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan has established diplomatic ties with San Marino, Dunyo news agency reported.
The Ambassadors of two countries signed the protocol on establishment of diplomatic ties.
"After completion of internal procedures in two countries, San Marino will become 136th country with which Uzbekistan has diplomatic ties," said the report.
Ambassador of San Marino Daniela Rotondaro said establishment of diplomatic ties is an important political event for San Marino. Two countries could cooperate in food security and poverty eradication.
Ambassador Rotondaro also said the agreement on double taxation avoidance and protection of investments is ready for signing. She suggested to hold a business forum where Uzbekistan could present its economic and investment capacities.
"Tourism can be another important area of cooperation. San Marino is visited by more than 3 million tourists a year and as such is ready to share its experience in this industry," the Ambassador said.
