AKIPRESS.COM - Balbak Tulobaev steps down as acting mayor of Bishkek, he told AKIpress on February 8.
Tulobaev said he submitted letter of resignation in connection with transfer to another post.
He said it is unknown yet whether prospective post will be in the President's Administration or Prime Minister's Office.
The Prime Minister has already approved resignation of Balbak Tulobaev.
Ermek Nurgaziev will replace Balbak Tulobaev. The respective order was signed already, Tulobaev said.
44-year-old Ermek Nurgaziev founded and heads the construction firm Emma Kurulush. He ran in 2020 parliamentary elections from Kyrgyzstan party.
The mayor is elected by the Bishkek local council members. The Bishkek local council elections are set for April 11.
