Uzbekistan starts construction of aerodrome in Sokh exclave

AKIPRESS.COM - Construction of the aerodrome has started in Sokh district of Fergana region of Uzbekistan, Fergana International Airport said.
The aerodrome will occupy 4.5 ha. Its runway will be 650 m long and 100 m wide.
12 billion soums ($1.1 million) was allocated for construction, which is due in May.
Uzbekistan has 4 exclaves on the territory of Kyrgyzstan and hosts one Tajikistan's and one Kyrgyzstan's enclaves on its territory.
Uzbekistan's Sokh exclave is the world's biggest exclave by area and population. Its population makes 73,500 people.
