Raimbek Matraimov fined 260,000 soms, arrest on property removed

AKIPRESS.COM - The Pervomai district court of Bishkek found guilty and fined the former deputy head of the State Customs Service Raimbek Matraimov for 260,000 soms and removed arrest from his properties.
The arrest was lifted from apartments in Bishkek, Osh, the cottage in Karven 4 seasons, and Lexus, as well as from all bank accounts and deposit boxes registered in the name of Matraimov and his relatives, judge Gulzat Dyikanbayeva ruled.
Matraimov plea-bargained with the investigation and paid off the damage of 2 billion soms. "He gave detailed testimony against the chiefs of the South-West and North-East Customs, Nurlan Rajabaliev and Abdybakhab Boronbaev, and helped in paying 12 million soms and 8 million soms by them. The damage was paid in full. He gave testimonies. Rajabaliev and Boronbaev were formally indicted. Matraimov has met the terms of the deal," said the prosecutor.
Matraimov's lawyer said that her client paid 1,398,000 soms in cash and handed over 10 properties worth 601.3 million soms to the state including apartments and buildings in Bishkek.
Matraimov got his home detention cancelled, the arrest on immovable and movable property and bank accounts taken off.
