Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan sign cooperation program for 2020-2021

AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov met with Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov on February 17. The Foreign Ministers discussed current bilateral cooperation and its prospects in political, commercial, economic, transport, communication, cutlural, humanitarian and other spheres.
The issues of cooperation in the framework of international and regional organizations were considered.
A particular attention was paid to the current situation in Central Asia, joint work on further development of regional cooperation and possibilities of reaching a new interregional level of interconnection.
Foreign Minister Kamilov invited Foreign Minister Meredov for the International High-Level Conference on Central and South Asia: Regional Interconnectedness. Challenges and Opportunities that will be held this year in Tashkent.
The cooperation program between the Foreign Ministries of Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan for 2021-2022 was signed following the talks.
