Hundreds take to streets in Osh to protest Raim Matraimov's arrest

AKIPRESS.COM - A peaceful rally in support of Raimbek Matraimov took place in Osh on February 28.
Hundreds of supporters of the former deputy chairman of the State Customs Service demanded his release.
Osh police department said they have recorded no violations of law. The socio-political situation in the city is stable. The situation is under the control, police said.
The State National Security Committee detained Raimbek Matraimov on February 18 as part of the criminal probe into money laundering.
Matraimov was taken into custody for 2 months in accordance with the ruling of the Pervomaiskiy district court of Bishkek on Feb 20.
Matraimov is held in the remand prison of the State National Security Committee.
