Russia lifts ban on import of tomatoes from 2 regions of Uzbekistan

AKIPRESS.COM - The Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Rosselkhoznadzor permitted import of tomatoes from 6 Uzbek ventures since March 3.
The import was approved under the guarantee of the State Inspectorate for Plant Quarantine under the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan, as well as on the basis of laboratory test results proving tomatoes of 6 companies from Kashkadarya and Navoi regions do not have tomato brown rugose fruit virus.
Russian banned import of tomatoes from Navoi and Kashkadarya regions of Uzbekistan in December 2020 after tomato brown rugose fruit virus was detected.
