AKIPRESS.COM - KOICA Office in Kyrgyzstan held Pre-Departure Orientation for 8 trainees of 2020 KOICA Master's Degree Scholarship Program on March 16.
At the orientation, KOICA introduced current situation of COVID-19 and self-quarantine in Korea.
8 trainees from among civil servants and employees in public sector will continue their study in leading Korean universities in various fields.
Trainees were chosen last year and were supposed to go to Korea, but under the COVID-19 pandemic they had to participate in online class in Kyrgyzstan. They will finally head toward Korea and have to go through self-quarantines for two weeks after arrival.
KOICA Country Director Mr. Yi Jongsu said he wishes that all participants would study hard so that they could achieve their personal goals within their stay in Korea.
KOICA Office hopes that after their studies, they would be able to play an important role between Kyrgyzstan and Korea.
The KOICA Scholarship Program (SP) for master's degrees is designed to nurture future key leaders who could contribute to the socio-economic development of their home countries.
