Interior Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan hold talks in Tashkent

AKIPRESS.COM - The delegation of the Interior Ministry of Kyrgyzstan led by Minister Ulan Niyazbekov made a working visit to Tashkent on March 22-23. The visit was made in connection with the bilateral agreements reached during state visit of President Sadyr Japarov to Uzbekistan on March 11-12.
Interior Minister Ulan Niyazbekov and Interior Minister of Uzbekistan Pulat Bobojonov held talks on March 23 in the Interior Ministry of Uzbekistan.
Talks focused on cooperation between the Interior Ministries in fight against organized crime, search of perpetrators escaping from investigation and trial, cross-border cooperation, ramped up exchange of professional experience and other areas of mutual interest.
Interior Minister Niyazbekov was introduced to the progress of ongoing law enforcement reforms in Uzbekistan.
The delegation of Kyrgyzstan led by Minister Niyazbekov visited Tashkent Police Department and Traffic Police Department.
The delegation was shown the system of protection of public order and safety in work, counteraction to criminality in residential districts, improvement of police work, road safety management system.
The delegation of the Interior Ministry of Kyrgyzstan plans to visit Namangan and Ferghana Region Police Departments.
