Uzbekistan to start vaccination against Covid-19 since Apr 1

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan will start vaccination against coronavirus infection since April 1, Vice Chief of State Sanitary and Epidemiological Well-Being and Public Health Service Nurmat Atabekov said.
It was announced earier that vaccination will begin after celebration of Navruz holiday on March 21.
Around 7 million people, 20% of country population, are expected to be vaccinated before the end of the year.
Uzbekistan certified Russia's coronavirus vaccine Sputnik V
660,000 doses of India-made coronavirus vaccine CoviShield arrived in Uzbekistan recently. Uzbekistan will receive 2.256 million doses of coronavirus vaccine through COVAX program in total. The second consignment is coming in May.
