Uzbekistan to receive 1 million doses of Uzbek-Chinese coronavirus vaccine

AKIPRESS.COM - Some 1 million doses of coronavirus vaccine ZF-UZ-VAC2001 will arrive in Uzbekistan from China on March 27, the Ministry of Innovations reported.
The vaccine was developed by the Microbiology Institute under the Academy of Sciences of China and Zhifei Longcom Biopharmaceutical.
Uzbekistan was named co-author of the vaccine for its contribution into the trial.
It was announced earlier that efficacy rate of the vaccine made more than 99% as determined during the first and second phase of vaccination in China and trial in Uzbekistan, in which 7,000 participated.
The vaccine can be stored under regular fridge temperature under 8°C.
The third phase of clincial trials of the vaccine developed by Zhifei Longcom Biopharmaceutical started in December.
The vaccine will be produced together with Uzbek pharmaceutical companies under the title ZF-UZ-VAC 2001.
Jurabek Laboratories was selected as partner.
