Kyrgyzstan does not pay anything for entering Uzbek airspace while taking off and landing in Osh

AKIPRESS.COM - MP Ulugbek Sadikov asked from the Ministry of Transport if Kyrgyzstan pays to Uzbekistan for entering its airspace when aircraft lands in Osh.
"It's a big mystery to me that a plane circles over Andijan entering Uzbekistan airspace while landing in Osh. Some say that a lot of money is paid for flying in and out there for a rent. Is that true?" he asked.
Director of the Civil Aviation Agency Bakyt Junushaliyev said it is not true.
Minister of Transport Gulmira Abdralieva said that the agreement between the government of Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan on the mutual recognition of airspace was signed in 2018 and Kyrgyzstan does not pay for using the airspace. "Yes, we enter Uzbekistan's airspace when taking off and landing there, but it's free," she said.
