Education Ministers from 114 countries discuss resumption of learning process amid Covid-19 pandemic

AKIPRESS.COM - Minister of Education and Science Almazbek Beishenaliev partook in the virtual meeting on One year into COVID: Prioritizing education recovery to avoid a generational catastrophe held by UNESCO, the Education Ministry's press service reported.
The high-level event was attended by the Education Ministers from 114 countries.
UNESCO convened a high-level ministerial meeting to take stock of lessons learnt, the greatest risks facing education today and strategies to leave no learner behind. It provided a space for policy dialogue to examine the most pressing current challenges, informed by the presentation of some key data sets.
The Education Ministers shared their experience in organization of learning process in schools and remote learning amid Covid-19 pandemic.
In his speech on reopening of schools, setting out priorities and support of teachers, Minister Beishenaliev talked about online learning organized in the country, preparation of more than 7,000 video lessons broadcast on 2 state TV channels.
The decisions on closure of schools were made at local levels depending upon COVID-19 situation, Education Minister Beishenaliev said.
