Kyrgyzstani wins bronze on first day of Asian and Oceana Judo Championships 2021

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan's Kubanychbek Aibek uulu won a bronze medal at the Asian and Oceana Judo Championships 2021 in Bishkek on April 6.
Athletes competed for 5 sets of medals on the first day of the competition.
Kubanychbek Aybek uulu competed in men's up to 60kg weight category. He defeated a rival from Turkmenistan first and then defeated Kazakhstan's Eldos Smetov, silver medallist of the Rio Olympics and world champion, Asia champion and winner of the Asian Games.
In the semi-finals, he lost to an athlete from Chinese Taipei, and took a victory over an Uzbek athlete in the bout for bronze.
Another Kyrgyz athlete Artur Te took the 5th place in men's 66 kg.
9 athletes from Kyrgyzstan competed on the first day.
