President Japarov votes in Bishkek local council election, constitutional referendum

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sadyr Japarov has voted in Bishkek local council election and the referendum on a new draft of Constitution near the State Residence.
He came to the polling station with his spouse.
Japarov urged citizens to take an active part in voting.
"If people support the draft of Constitution, we will begin living under new Constitution since tomorrow," Japarov said after voting.
"If the Constitution is passed, the Central Election Commission should publish the results within 10 days. Then we will begin introducing changes in laws in accordance with the new Constitution. We have discrepancies in the Criminal Code, Criminal Procedural Code and other laws," he aded.
The Parliament should pass all laws before summer recess. The government has prepared drafts of laws with changes into the current laws, Sadyr Japarov stated.
