AKIPRESS.COM - Dozens of people came to the building of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Bishkek for protest on Thursday demanding the resignation of Interior Minister Ulanbek Niyazbekov after the high profile kidnapping and murder of Aizada Kanatbekova. More than 40 people gathered, some more are reportedly coming.
A group of men approached the protesters and demanded them to stop. "The country needs tranquility!" they shouted.
Policemen lined up at the entrance of the building, they do not allow the protesters to approach the entrance.
Representatives of the Interior Ministry met with the protesters. A verbal conflict occurred between them.
Aizada Kanatbekova was abducted for forced marriage in the morning of April 5 in Bishkek. Her body was found in a car outside Bishkek on April 7. One of abductors, Zamirbek Tenizbaev, was also found dead in the car. Police said he strangled Aizada to death and killed himself with office knife.
