Tajikistan, Uzbekistan discuss construction of railway from Penjikent to Bulungur

AKIPRESS.COM - The delegations of Uzbekistan and Tajikistan met in Dushanbe on April 26 to discuss practical issues of cooperation aimed at developing transport connectivity between the two countries and the region, UzA reported. The parties discussed issues of cooperation in international road transportation, development of Uzbekistan-Tajikistan-China transport corridor, reopening of Khashtak-Bekabad border crossing point, electrification of Bekabad (Uzbekistan) - Spitamen - Istiqlol (Tajikistan) railway section, construction of a new railway section from Penjikent (Tajikistan) to Bulungur/Jambay (Uzbekistan).
The protocol of talks was signed.
