AKIPRESS.COM - The situation in Jaka-Oruk (Tort Kocho) neighborhood in the Batken region remains tense, Turmush correspondent reports from the border conflict zone. The Jaka-Oruk section of the Osh-Batken-Isfana road is closed. Law enforcement officers cordoned off the road section so that residents cannot pass through. Shots are still being fired in the scene.
Local villagers say that the Tajik side shot the transformer in the village of Kok-Tash, which led to a power outage. Surveillance cameras were also shot.
Local villagers blame the Tajik side of provocations.
