Defense Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan hold talks

AKIPRESS.COM - The Defense Ministers of Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan held talks on May 1 at Kyzyl-Bel - Guliston checkpoint in accordance with the agreement reached between the Presidents of two countries, the Foreign Ministry of Kyrgyzstan said.
The following decisions were made by the Defense Ministers:
​1. To inform troops (forces) since 3.00 p.m. Kyrgyzstan time (2.00 p.m. Tajikistan time) about ceasefie on all sections of the Kyrgyz-Tajik border and to start withdrawal of troops to their duty stations.
​2. To set up a working group of 3 members from each side to control withdrawal of troops (armament and military machinery) to their duty stations.
​3. To set up inspection group of 3 members from each side to check incoming information (false information) in terms of its accuracy and in case of confirmation of information to organize withdrawal of armament and machinery to their duty stations.
​4. To start work of the joint group since 8.00 a.m. Kyrgyzstan time (7.00 a.m. Tajikistan time) of May 2, 2021.
