AKIPRESS.COM - The General Prosecutor's Office of Tajikistan laucnhed criminal probe into armed attack on Chorkuh district of Isfara on April 29 by a group of servicemen and local residents of Kyrgyzstan, Asia-Plus reported with reference to the General Prosecutor's press service.
The criminal probe was launched into the armed attack on Chorkuh district of Isfara on April 29 by around 200 servicemen and local residents of Kyrgyzstan on charges with agressive war and murder," said the report.
Tajik citizens were wounded, Isfara mayor Bahovaddin Bahodurzda among them, and killed as a result of the attack, the General Prosecutor's Office said.
More soldiers and officers, civilians, armament and armored vehicles were used. Houses and various facilities in Tajikistan were destroyed. "This way the Kyrgyz side violated the UN Charter and infringed on territorial integrity of Tajikistan," the report said.
The General Prosecutor's Office of Kyrgyzstan launched criminal probe into clashes on the border with Tajikistan in Batken region on April 29. Kyrgyzstan said Tajikistan violated the agreement on good neighborly and partnership relations of 26 May 2004. The probe was launched under the crime against peace article of the Criminal Code. The interdepartmental investigation group comprised of officers of the State National Securiy Committee, Interior Ministry, Military Prosecutor's Office is conducting investigation.
The Interior Ministry launched 11 criminal probes into the conflict on the border with Tajikistan, Deputy Interior Minister Erkebek Ashirhojaev said.
