120 houses and 84 facilities destroyed in Batken, calculation of damage under way

AKIPRESS.COM - Commission is assessing the damage in Batken region from the armed conflict, said Deputy Minister of Emergency Situations Urmatbek Shamyrkanov on May 4. Some 120 houses and 84 facilities (a school, first medical aid point, kindergarten, police building, 4 frontier outposts, a medical center, a dental center, two pharmacies, a fire station, 27 gas stations, 34 shops, 5 cafes and 3 restaurants) were destroyed.
"Calculation of damage is underway. The Ministry of Emergency Situations has sent 214 employees and 16 units of special equipment," he said.
