40,649 people internally displaced in Batken

AKIPRESS.COM - A total of 40,649 citizens of Batken region have been evacuated, Deputy Emergency Situations Minister Urmatbek Shamyrkanov said on May 4.
A total of 14,361 citizens were evacuated from Min-Bulak, Uch-Dobo, Tash-Tumshuk, Kok-Tash, Ak-Sai, Kok-Terek, Ortoboz and Samarkandek villages of Batken district.
Evacuees were relocated in Batken town as well as Bujum, Chek, Jany-Jer, Ak-Tuprak, Kara-Bulak, Chok-Kara, and Ravat villages.
26,288 people were evacuated from the villages of Borborduk, International, Arka, Maksat and Dostuk in the Leilek district. They were accommodated in Sulukta, Isfana, Kara-Bulak, Korgon, Samat, Bulak-Bashy, Margun and Kulundu villages.
