Foreign Minister Kamilov holds talks with U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation

AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held talks with U.S. Special Representative for Afghanistan Reconciliation Zalmay Khalilzad on May 2.
The current situation with Afghan conflict and prospects of its resolution, mechanisms of facilitation of reconciliation process were discussed during the talks, the portal of the government of Uzbekistan reported.
The U.S. Special Representative highly valued the efforts of Uzbekistan on Afghanistan.
The sides reaffirmed interest in peaceful, stable and sovereign Afghanistan, agreed to support intra-Afghan inclusive talks and to jointly work on initiatives that will facilitate development of regional trade, investment and infrastructure projects, integration of Afghanistan into regional processes.
