216 Kyrgyzstanis injured in armed attack, 36 of them died, including 2 children aged 12 and 5

AKIPRESS.COM - A total of 216 people were injured in the Kyrgyz-Tajik conflict and 36 of them died (3 soldiers and 33 civilians), said Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Erkebek Ashirhojaev.
Those included 25 border guards 18 policemen and 1 customs officer, who were injured at the Golovnoy water distributor and the Kyzyl Bel checkpoint.
139 civilians were injured, including two children: a 12-year-old girl was deadly injured by mortar shell fragments and a 5-year-old boy fell into the river and drowned during shelling, he said.
44 people were transported to Bishkek for treatment, he added.
