Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan hold phone talks

AKIPRESS.COM - Foreign Minister of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Mukhriddin held talks with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov, the Foreign Ministry of Tajikistan said. Foreign Minister Mukhriddin briefed the Turkmen Deputy Prime Minister about the agreements reached with Kyrgyzstan on stabilization of the situation.
Minister Mukhriddin confirmed commitment of Tajikistan to regulation of the border issues with Kyrgyzstan through talks and search of mutually acceptable forms in view of national interests of the country.
The Foreign Ministers exchanged views on current bilateral relations and their prospects, identified practical steps for holding a series of bilateral events in context of implementation of the agreements reached on April 28 during the phone conversation between the Presidents of Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
