AKIPRESS.COM - Governor of Jalal-Abad region, Absattar Syrgabaev, visited the Aksy district, where mudflows destroyed a number of objects. On May 11, after heavy rainfall the water level in the river Kojo-Ata rose resulting in destruction of the part of the bridge on the 17 km road Kara-Jygach-Sary-Chelek in the village Jylgyn of rural district Kyzyl-Tuu.
The bridge, which connects Jylgyn and Arkyt settlements, can only be crossed by foot. A total of 5 bridges in the village were affected due to the rise of water level in the river.
The leadership of the region instructed the relevant services to build a temporary bridge and resume traffic movement within a week. Speeding up eliminating the consequences of the natural disaster was ordered.
350 households with a population of 1600 people live in Jylgyn and Arkyt villages of Kyzyl-Tuu rural district.
