Kyrgyzstan completing 1st round of vaccination against COVID-19

AKIPRESS.COM - Today is the last day to receive the first dose of Sputnik V and Sinopharm vaccines as part of the first round of nation-wide vaccination campaign, National Immunization Center Director Gulbara Ishenapysova said at the meeting of the Budget and Finances Committee of the Parliament of Kyrgyzstan on May 24.
190,000 doses of coronavirus vaccines arrived into the country earlier, she said.
"150,000 doses of Sinopharm vaccine were delivered in March. This will be enough for vaccination of 75,000 people. 40,000 doses of vaccine arrived later, which is enough for vaccination of 20,000 people," Gulbara Ishenapysova said.
The second dose of the vaccine has remained only.
The government has set the task to complete vaccination with the first dose today, she added.
Kyrgyzstan started vaccination against coronavirus infection since March 29.
Over 72,100 were vaccinated so far.
