Kyrgyzstani becomes Asian sambo champion

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstani Dairbek Kariyaev won a gold medal at the Asian Sambo Championship 2021 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. Kariyaev competed on June 6 in men's up to 79kg among 10 athletes.
He started in the quarter-final and defeated another Kyrgyz athlete, Bektur Idirisov, and then defeated Uzbekistan's Sherzodbek Ismonov in the semi-final.
In the final bout, he faced Tavrezsho Parpishoev from Tajikistan, defeated him and became the Asian champion.
