Uzbekistan to host Global Youth Tourism Summit in 2022

AKIPRESS.COM - The Global Youth Tourism Summit will be held in Uzbekistan in 2022, the Ministry of Tourism and Sport reported.
Such decision was announced during visit of the delegation of Uzbekistan led by First Deputy Minsiter of Tourism and Sport Ulugbek Agzamov to Athens.
The head of the delegation held a meeting with UN World Tourism Organization Secretary General Zurab Pololikashvili and UNWTO Regional Director for Europe Alessandra Priante.
Zurab Pololikashvili highly regarded the efforts ongoing in Uzbekistan aimed to support tourism amid coronavirus pandemic.
He also noted a role of Samarkand as bridge between the East and the West.
Several multilateral agreements were discussed with leaders of the delegations of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Hungary, Ukraine, Turkey, Russia, Spain, Austria, Saudi Arabia.
