AKIPRESS.COM - Masks will be distributed at Bishkek's bus stops for free, said the capital's vice mayor Victoria Mozgacheva on June 17. Masks can be purchased from the driver of public transport for 2 soms production cost, she said.
"However, people don't buy masks. Some buy them, put them on at the entrance, then take them off. I want to encourage people to keep their masks on, it's your safety, your health," she said.
Awareness raising is also done with the public, she said.
Kyrgyzstan registered 787 new coronavirus cases on June 17, including 368 cases in Bishkek, 130 in Chui region, 97 in Osh, 96 in Osh region, 38 in Jalal-Abad region, 25 in Batken region, 20 in Issyk-Kul region, 11 in Talas region, 2 in Naryn region.
The total number of confirmed coronavirus cases since March 2020 reached 112,777.
