CASA-1000 completion postponed to 2024

AKIPRESS.COM - CASA-1000 project was launched in 2018 and was supposed to be completed in 2023, but because of the pandemic in 2019-2020, its implementation was suspended, said Deputy Minister of Energy Taalaibek Ibraev. Therefore, the completion date of the project is postponed to 2024, he said.
The Central Asia South Asia Electricity Transmission and Trade Project (CASA-1000) is a project on exporting seasonal surplus electricity from Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan to cover the growing demand for electricity in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
