AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan exported gold for the first time since September 2020, the State Statistics Committee reported.
Uzbekistan has sold gold for almost $1.2 billion.
Foreign trade turnover reached $14.5 billion in January-May and grew for $1.7 billion (13.2%) compared to the same period of the previous year.
Export amounted to $5.7 billion (+14%), import totaled $8.8 billion (+12.7%).
International reserves of Uzbekistan grew for the first time since January. Muruntau gold mine was ranked first in the world's gold production rankings.
