Kyrgyzstan will buy helicopter for extinguishing fires

AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan will buy a small copter, an Ansat helicopter, for extinguishing fires, Emergency Minister Boobek Azhikeev said at a press conference on June 22. This is Russia's latest twin-engine helicopter based on Canadian engines. The new helicopter will have a new engine, he said.
As per the Mi-8MTV-1 helicopter, Kyrgyzstan will repair its old helicopter, but it is supposed to have a fire shroud to drop water.
"But the shroud lifts 500 to 1,000 liters of water, which is very little. In the case of two-story house burning, the capacity of one fire machine is not enough. For this purpose we usually send 2-3 additional fire brigades," he explained.
