Uzbekistan to spend $100m for New Andjizhan city

AKIPRESS.COM - The President of Uzbekistan signed a resolution on construction of New Andizhan city on June 21.
The equivalent ot $100 million will be allocated for the project to develop roads, transport, communication networks, entrepreneurship in Andizhan region.
The project foresees construction of social facilties($25 million), construction of roads and pipelines ($15 million), creation of communitation networks, control over expenses and other expenses ($60 million).
The master plan on construction of New Andizhan city was earlier presented to President Shavkat Mirziyoyev during his visit to Andizhan.
The city will occupy around 4,000 ha. Some 1,440 ha will account for apartment blocks, 1,820 ha will be occupied by green zones, 223 ha will be social and service infrastructure, 499 ha will account for roads.
The city will be erected on unused land. Up to 411,000 people may be accommodated in the city upon construction.
