AKIPRESS.COM - Cooperation between Russia and Uzbekistan is built upon friendship, good neighborhood and mutual respect, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said at the meeting of the joint commission at the level of the heads of government on June 22 in Moscow.
Bilateral trade grew by almost 15% to almost $6 billion last year, Mishustin said.
Russian exports to Uzbekistan increased by 12% and imports from Uzbekistna grew by almost one fourth, he said,
Abdulla Aripov suggested to increase the number of regular flights between Uzbekistan and Russia to 14 a week. Four flights a week are operated now.
"We also find it reasonable to restart passenger railway transportation between our countries for the most demanded destinations," Abdulla Aripov said.
