Uzbekistan plans to join Turkic Parliamentary Assembly

AKIPRESS.COM - Uzbekistan has made the decision to joint Turkic Parliamentary Assembly, Senate Vice Speaker Sadyk Safaev said at the meeting with TurkPA delegation in Tashkent.
The delegation led by Turkish Parliament member Ismet Ucma included parliamentarians from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkey.
Bilateral relations between Turkic Council countries and Uzbekistan, cooperation between the Parliament of Uzbekistan and TurkPA were discussed at the meeting.
MP Ismet Ucma said Uzbekistan plays a special role in the Turkic world as before. TurkPA intends to develop cooperation with Uzbekistan in all areas, he said.
Senate Vice Speaker Safaev noted in return Uzbekistan attaches a particular importance to development of cooperation with the Turkic Council. The Parliament of Uzbekistan intends to strengthen ties with TurkPA even further, he added.
Uzbekistan has made the decision to join TurkPA in future, the Senate Vice Speaker added.
