Bishkek ramps up COVID-19 response

AKIPRESS.COM - Acting mayor of Bishkek Baktybek Kudaibergenov heard the report of the local emergency epidemiological commission today.
The acting mayor has set several tasks on COVID-19 response, including regular outreach work among public transport passengers on mask wearing and use of antiseptic, regular disinfection of public transport and admissble transport capacity.
The acting mayor urged the local emergency epidemiological commission to step up efforts on prevention of mass gatherings, checks of public catering facilities with involvement of the vice mayors, governors of districts.
The sanitary and ecological inspectorate, public transport department were tasked to conduct checks of cafes, restaurants, malls, markets in terms of their compliance with epidemiological requirements.
The mayor's office re-introduced restrictions for cafes, restaurants, clubs since June 17, but were canceled by the acting mayot 4 days later.
