"We have enough wisdom to resolve situation." Japarov and Rahmon discuss border conflict

AKIPRESS.COM - President Sadyr Japarov and President Emomali Rahmon discussed Kyrgyz-Tajik border issues during talks in Dushanbe on June 29.
The main issue in bilateral relations is linked to delimitation and demarcation of the state border, President Rahmon said.
"This outstanding issue requires the soonest finding mutually acceptable solution for both sides," President Rahmon added.
The latest border incident demonstrated the countries need to address border talks exceptionally in view of transboundary interests.
President Sadyr Japarov said Kyrgyzstan highly values relations with Tajikistan.
"We have always said multifaceted development of bilateral relations, deepening of mutually beneficial cooperation, strengthening of good neighborly relations and equitable partnership with Tajikistan meets long-term priorities of foreign policy of Kyrgyzstan. Our countries passed through undesirable conflict, which caused pain and damage for both sides. I believe we have enough wisdom to resolve this situation for the benefit of two nations," Sadyr Japarov said.
The soonest resoution and delimitation of Kyrgyz-Tajik border and signing of a respective agreement will further bolster bilateral cooperation, Japarov said.
