AKIPRESS.COM - Kyrgyzstan ranked 92nd in the 2020 Global Cyber Security Index of the United Nations International Telecommunication Union (ITU).
Kyrgyzstan scored overall 49,64 points. On legal pillar, Kyrgyzstan scored 13.43 points, 7.85 points on technical pillar, and 14.37 points on organizational pillar. The development capacity pillar score was 1.87, cooperation - 12.11.
The US was ranked first in overall ranking with 100 points, followed by a tie for second place tie between the UK (99.54 points) and Saudi Arabia (99.54 points). Estonia (99.48 points) and South Korea (98.52 points) were ranked third.
The other EAEU nations' standing was following: Russia is in 5th place with 98.06 points. Armenia is 90th (50.47 points) and Belarus is 89th (50.57 points).
Uzbekistan ranked 70th place (71,11 points), Tajikistan - 138th (17,1 points), China - 33rd place (92,53 points), Kazakhstan - 31st place (93,15 points).
The index ranks nations using 82 questions developed by a panel of experts. ITU members are asked to nominate a person to participate in the process, and the organisation conducts desk research on nations that choose not to play. All ITU members are then ranked on a 100-point scale.
